My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After reading the first two books in this series by Terri Blackstock I couldn’t wait to start this one. I was not disappointed! Holly, the flaky, little sister is the focus of Twisted Innocence. As a new mother, her life needs some changes but will her siblings accept her new ways as real? Drug dealer Leonard Miller remains free and the desire to put him behind bars increases with Michael in jail. The sisters continue to run Michael’s PI service around their own busy lives. Suspense begins quickly when Holly takes a call for her taxi cab. The intrigue rises rapidly as new characters enter the scene. Some face the reality of faith in God during desperate moments. I read this book basically in one day and enjoyed the fast pace of this mystery. Terri Blackstock is one of my favorite authors and this series is great. I highly recommend the third book in the Moonlighters Series, Twisted Innocence.

I received an ebook copy from NetGalley and Zondervan Fiction Publishing for an honest review which I have given.

Fur Elise – Captivating!

Fur EliseFur Elise by Peggy Sue Wells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This enchanting book has diverse characters and interests. Taken in by the storyline surrounding Michael, a military trained rescue personnel as he discovers betrayal from those he had trusted, kept me reading on. Now he finds a new life to restore and recoup landing on an island and renting a cottage from a mysterious young woman, Elise. She is ensconced in the world of art and music passionately trying to save her parents’ legacy. Michael’s faith sees him through several harrowing escapades. Their lives eventually intertwine as Michael gets pulled into rescuing a senator’s daughter. Romance, suspense, and a hurricane hit the beautiful, tropical island and each person has decisions to make and dreams to fill.

I highly recommend Fur Elise.

Deceived by Irene Hannon Full of Suspense and Intrigue!

Deceived (Private Justice, #3)Deceived by Irene Hannon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Irene Hannon delivers a fantastic suspense novel with Deceived! I was drawn into this read immediately and could not stop until the end. Kate Marshall thinks she has moved on with her life after a tragedy three years ago. She finds fulfillment in her job in a new city and has a routine. Then, she sees a little boy on an escalator at the shopping mall who looks exactly like her son; her son, who was never found after a boating accident on a lake in New York. He turned around and looked at her, too. How could it be? What should she do now? Her sleep won’t let her forget his face. The police had shut the case. Would they take her seriously, now? She chooses a private investigator. Will Connor believe her? Will he think she is crazy? Kate must rely on her faith as this is the biggest challenge she has ever faced.

The book flows with intrigue, surprise, and even romance. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend Deceived by Irene Hannon. It is one of her Private Justice novels.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher and Net Galley for my honest opinion.

Loved this book!

Honor (Quaker Brides, #1)Honor by Lyn Cote
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I could not put this book down! Honor has so much to offer – suspense, justice, bravery, romance, and faith. Lyn Cote has written an outstanding read that absorbs the reader. One of the main characters is deaf. Very few knew how to communicate with the deaf in this period of history and this subject was handled beautifully. An unexpected arranged marriage causes more drama and the displaced Honor has to lean on God as she faces life in a new world. She quickly becomes involved in hiding runaway slaves, a very dangerous activity. Will she be caught? Will her husband discover her unlawful participation in assisting the hunted and frightened ones to safety? Will she find love, loyalty, and purpose so far away from all she has known her whole life?

I highly recommend this book. I rarely give 5 stars. Honor by Lyn Cote deserves them.
